Ok, now that I got through all of that techie documentation stuff, here is what I ended up with:
I am experimenting with pyro to do RPC between my host computer and the robot. In the above video, the robot is actually being controlled via a crude gui program that connects to the robot over the network and tells it what to do.
I messed up a little when choosing the NGW100- i assumed it had a host USB port, so that I could hook a wifi dongle and webcam up to it. Unfortunately, it does peripheral only, so those are no longer options. I’m trying to think of ways to get around this- does anyone know of a *cheap* wireless bridge that would be suitable for this application?
